Hey everyone, and welcome to 'The Lighter Side of Death Corps'. I'm Brendan Setaro, or rather, a cartoon representation of him. I also go by Venom as my pseudonym. When you see a funky symbol under something I've written, thats what it stands for.
First things first, however. This is a comic that I've started in my spare time. I've only begun experimenting with scanning line drawings and coloring them, so on top of this being a comic section for my Ultima Online guild, Death Corps, it's also a means for me to progress in my skills of scanning and coloring.
Another thing you may notice, The style is quite similar to that of the web comic called 'Penny Arcade'. Well, that's for a reason. Their comic is what inspired me to dabble in the world of web comics... so it's only natural that I start out trying to emulate their style.
Now, all that being said... Lets get to the comics!!!

Each comic is sectioned off as it's own episode. Sometimes a comic will be 1 panel, usually as a character introduction. And of course, the first comic itself, as it just started as a gag. So here they are, in chronological order:

  • 5/26/02 - The final episode, 22, is up now. See the commentary underneath for further explanation.
  • 5/08/02 - Well, I know I said Thursday or Friday, but I just had to get Episode 21 up, so I hope you like it.
  • 5/07/02 - Yes, I'm still alive, workin on another comic. These are my final days of school. I also had to go to a wake today :( So things have been super busy. Another comic is on the way though. Plan on Thursday or Friday.
  • 5/01/02 - I've added a 'News' section. Episode 20 is now up as well. Also, I've made a Yahoo Group soley for the purpose of notifying anyone interested when a new episode comes out.
