This comic is dedicated to all the guilds who have had a 'Joshua' or a 'Zed' in them. And by that, I don't mean characters with those names... no, I mean something much worse. Characters who can't for the life of them keep a straight character story going on. Now, in and of it self, this might not seem so bad. However on many occasions, this person in our guild, let's call him Joshua, because that's what his name was, was many different things. He was quite annoying, for one. But every time there was a guild event, Joshua was a paladin, and a half dragon. He was also a daemon at one point, but when everyone told him that he couldn't become a daemon just for guild events, he decided to play through the half-dragon bit.
Further along, I decided to read his profile and was on the floor laughing within seconds... "Hi! My name's Joshua! My dad was killed by an ettin! My mentor blue beard was killed by a trapped chest! I hunt treasures! Join me on my adventure!" ...... Okay, maybe it wasn't worded exactly like that, but that was the gist of it. Here's my beef... first of all, you're in a respectable RPing guild. (That being the only reason I play UO). Think of a story and stick with it, man.
Normally, I'm very tolerant of newcomers... but Joshua was no newcomer, and my oh my, there were a bunch of incidents leading up to his expulsion. Here's to you Joshua! |
