Realistic Environment

One of the many things which I find detracting from the possible 'realism' of UO, are the phrases that must be uttered in order to obtain a response from NPCs. These phrases and 'keywords' are certainly useful, but they result in some awfully stupid macros. Some people will make a separate macro for each phrase, such as to buy something, to access their bank box, and to call upon the guards. But take for example... "Vendor buy the bank guards some beer!" Put yourself in the shoes of any of those people... the vendor, the banker, or the guard... if someone said that to you, what would you do?
If I was a vendor, I would probably say 'What the hell are you talking about? Go buy them a beer yourself, you reject!' and proceed to not sell them anything, thinking them too mentally incompetant to buy things from my store. Now, this phrase being said to either of the other two positions makes even less sense. If you're being attacked by a wild grizzly, and you yell that out, you're SOL. Maybe if a guard saw you, they'd decide to take pity on the 'special' person shouting obscurities being attacked by a bear, and help them out. The banker would just simply look around confused... 'Next!.
